Privacy policy

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies to The Bomb Sweeper for iPhone and iPad (the “App”) and bombsweeper.thedevbelowstairs.com (the “Website”), operated by Ashwani Gupta. For privacy questions or requests, email ashwani@thedevbelowstairs.com.

2. Game data on your device

The App saves scores, play records, achievements, Expedition progress, preferences, and a local purchase-status cache on your device so that game features work and progress is available later. The purchase cache does not itself grant access; the App checks the current Apple entitlement.

We do not operate a game server or receive your local scores and play records. They are not synced to Game Center. Removing the App or its data may remove this local information; device backup and restore behavior depends on your Apple settings.

3. Game Center and App Store purchases

On supported Apple devices, the App attempts to connect to Game Center after the menu loads; Apple may show a sign-in prompt. If you are signed in, the App can read and report achievement progress. Apple handles Game Center data under its Game Center privacy notice. This sync concerns achievements, not the App’s local score history.

The optional Full Game Unlock is purchased and restored through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment information and provides purchase and entitlement status to the App. We do not receive your payment card number. 4. Information you send us

The App has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. If you email support, we receive the address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to answer and manage your request and retain it only as reasonably needed for that purpose and related records. You can email us to request access to or deletion of your support correspondence, subject to applicable obligations.

5. Website visits

The Website has no account, newsletter form, advertising, or client-side analytics or tracking pixels in its current code. As with other websites, your browser sends technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to the hosting infrastructure to deliver pages. The host may keep operational logs for security and reliability. If you follow an App Store or other external link, that service’s privacy practices apply.

6. Children

The App does not ask children to create accounts or submit personal information to us. If you believe a child has sent personal information in a support email, contact us so we can address the request.

7. Changes

We may update this policy when the App, Website, or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be described here and, where appropriate, in the App.
